Job Description

Huntsman Global Business Services is now looking for a dynamic individual as a Master Planner. Huntsman Performance Products (HPP) is looking for a Master Planner to join our team in our newly set up Shared Service Office. This individual is an important member of a team that help us deliver on our supply fulfilment to our customers whilst maintaining a balanced inventory position. The Master Planner reports into the Supply Chain Manager / Regional Planning Manager and is given an opportunity to develop new skills and overcome obstacles each day in a fast-paced environment. A day in the life of a Master Planner is fast-paced and spent on troubleshooting while managing operational excellence.

As a Master Planner, you will be working very closely with the plant management team, commercial leads, Logistics, Customer Service to ensure that the region is keeping to the right inventory position. On the other hand, you will be exposed to meetings and working relationship with the Global S&OP team and planners from other regions as well.

The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

 

As a Master Planner you will:

Overall responsible for identified product group supply & demand balancing and inventory management in APAC

Provide input for required capacity (for example, production and warehouse)

Monitor the MRP review process; Validate the PR/PO; Work closely with sourcing plants on replenishment execution, proactively identify supply bottleneck and solve problems.

Based on demand planning, on regular base develop & update short-term production scheduling (M-0 to M-2) and follow up relevant action items to fulfil the production plan.

Host weekly and monthly S&OP calls with relevant stakeholders. Prepare slides for discussion, minutes tracker after call & follow up.

This position is a key driver in ensuring finished goods availability by assuring adequate finished goods inventory is available to fulfill customer demand while minimizing inventory and supply chain costs

Manage inventory in areas of shelf-life control, aging stock control, stock discrepancy issues and follow-ups. Reduce and Mitigate SLOB stock, follow up stock depletion process

The candidate is tasked with managing stock levels, stock provisions and mode of distribution in conjunction with demand planning, commercial functions and manufacturing operations.

The candidate will be tasked with using data insights to establish critical system parameters — activity-based costing (ABC) and safety stock settings

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Diploma in Supply Chain

Minimum 10 years, preferably with MRP planning in Chemical industry

High sense of responsibility, proactive attitude and independent, good interpersonal skills, good written & communication skills in English, good communication skills in Mandarin, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint & presentation skills, SAP

Certificate in APICS Certification – Inventory Management, is preferable
