Position Summary:

Reliability Engineer responsible for Reliability activities supporting ABU and / or LBU programs.

What You Will Do:

  • Participate as a Reliability expert in design reviews, technical risk assessments, Design and Process FMEA activities, lifetime predictions, and customer quality support
  • Write Reliability test plans using risk analysis and accelerated test methods to evaluate new materials, LED packaging, and novel LED products
  • Work with worldwide R&D and PD teams using Design for Reliability (DfR) methods to develop design rules which can be applied across product families
  • Lead and champion technical leadership and development for reliability team
  • Analyze and interpret data from suite of reliability stress conditions and make recommendations to technology and product development teams
  • Develop reliability models based on accelerated test data to predict product performance and lifetime at customer use conditions
  • Works with Failure Analysis team to investigate Reliability failures and determine failure root cause
  • Deep dive into failure root cause with 5 Why analysis, Fish Bone Diagram to determine the Correction, Corrective Action and Preventive Action
  • Work cross-functionally with Technology and Product Development teams, Product Marketing, Business Development, and more
  • Engage with Reliability Operations for system debugging
  • Create customer-facing reports and technical responses to customers
  • Interpret industry standards for LED applications
  • Work with design teams to review and evaluate Reliability test vehicles and associated collaterals for New Product Introduction (NPI)

What You Will Bring (Education)

Education (Minimum Level)

  • Bachelor’s
  • Preferred: Master’s

Field of Study

  • Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics,
  • Chemistry, or related fields with CGPA 3.0 and above

What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications)

  • 10+ years’ experience in electronics or associated industry in Reliability Engineering.
  • Proven experience with complicated systems and knowledge of how component interactions impact the overall product performance and reliability.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and their applications:

1) JEDEC, MIL-STD, IEC, AEC
, IES LM-80 or TM-21-11

  • Reliability modeling of electronic or mechanical systems experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimum guidance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and works efficiently under pressure
  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE)

What You Will Bring (WANTED Qualifications)

  • Understanding of Reliability Engineering principles and how they are applied
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) in:
  • Industry standards: 1)JEDEC, MIL-STD, IEC, AEC
    , IES LM-80 or TM-21-11
  • Reliability Planning
  • Data analysis
  • Reliability results interpretation
  • Reliability systems
  • APQP or similar processes to meet company and customer product goals
